PHYSICAL PLANT REQUIREMENTS
A. Performance rooms (number to be determined by number of entries)
B. Warm-up rooms as needed
C. In-tune pianos for each room (Electronic pianos with full keyboard are acceptable)
D. Table and comfortable seating for the judge
E. Seating for the spectators
F. Pencils for the judges
PERSONNEL
A. A performance-room monitor at each site to:
keep track of the schedule
check in contestants
announce that the next contestant is ready
allow entry to the room only between performances
post ratings
B. A runner:
supply refreshments to judges
serve as a general “gofer”
offer room monitor breaks if needed
C. A warm-up room monitor:
limit time in warm up rooms to less than 5 minutes. Rooms are to be used to warm up voices, not to make final preparations or for presentation problem solving.
do not tie-up the rooms if all needed members are not present.
be ready to make decisions if necessary schedule changes take place.
help performers and keep things running smoothly.
post signs reminding performers of above items one and two.

Contact the vocal coordinator on the SFA steering committee for this list.
PROCEDURES
A. Preparatory
Reserve rooms for performance and warm-up.
Arrange for in-tune pianos.
Obtain one judge per room and send copies of forms and guidelines to the judge.
Check to make sure that WSMA list selections have been properly numbered.
Schedule performance times. If possible, schedule WSMA entries apart from non-WSMA entries.
Assign a room monitor for each room.
Assign runner(s) as needed.
B. Day of the Festival
Arrange rooms.
Post schedules.
Arrange judging sheets in order for the judges.
Be ready to handle conflicts and arrange alternate individual schedules if necessary.
